This video by UNICEF is short but very powerful. It shows different teenagers talking directly to the camera, telling how it feels to be bullied. They speak very honestly, and it really touched me. One boy says he felt invisible, another girl says she was scared to go to school. You can see the pain in their faces, even if they don’t say many words.
I liked that the video focuses on speaking up. Not just for victims, but also for people who see bullying happening. It reminded me that silence is dangerous. Many times we think: “It’s not my problem”, or “It’s better not to get involved”. But if nobody speaks, the bullying continues. The message is simple: Be brave. Say something. Help.
After watching this, I thought about situations I’ve seen in school or even in university, when someone is isolated or laughed at. Sometimes we don’t call it bullying, but it still hurts. Maybe we all have a responsibility, not only teachers or parents.
The video also connects with the idea of bystander effect that we studied in psychology – when people do nothing because they think someone else will. This shows how important it is to break that silence.
I would definitely recommend this video for any classroom. It’s emotional and very clear, and it can start important conversations with students. Lluc Subiràs
